Type Locality and Naming

Includes in Fergana Valley, Isfara River.

Note that Bosboom et al. (2017) spelled this as "Akdzhar Fm" to distinquish it from the similar-named Akdjar Fm in the Afghan-Tajik Basin of the same age and similar facies.

Lithology and Thickness

In Alai-Fergana basin, it is red mudstones and siltstones with interbeds of evaporite and dolomite. 25-125 m.
